Open Day in Garching - 21 October 2017

We'll be present on the Open Day at the ground floor of the Institute for Advanced Studies in Garching together with all other Clusters of Excellence on 21 October 2017. Find us right next to the subway station.
Pass by to ...
- learn something about particle physics and the building blocks of the Universe,
- take a look at the 9500 pieces LEGO model of the ATLAS detector,
- Build Your Own Particle Detector and win some great prizes in our competition,
- make your own particle-physics buttons,
- see particles coming from cosmic radiation,
- just chat with physicists working on the ATLAS experiment!
In addition we're considering to show short films about particle physics and ATLAS during the day as well as possibly a documentary at 6 pm (all free of charge). All movies will be followed up by a question-and-answer session.
