LHC and ATLAS about to start 2023 measurement campaign

Live collision events measured by ATLAS.

After the end-of-year break LHC and ATLAS start the new measurement campaign for 2023 with proton-proton collisions at 13.6 TeV. Currently the final tuning of the LHC accelerator for highest intensity and luminosity is on its way. The ATLAS detector is already spotting the some test collisions inside LHC. The image shows live proton-proton collision events extracted from the ATLAS data stream.
