About us

Modern Particle Physics tries to reveal the fundamental properties of our worlds elementary components. This is done with the help of complex experiments, that are only possible in international cooperation.

The experimental particle physics group at LMU Munich consists of more than 40 people and is working on a broad range of topics, both in physics analysis and detector development, and is involved in various teaching activities in the faculty.

Our group receives funding mainly, but not exclusively, from the following sources.
