New results on stable R-hadrons

ATLAS publication with major contributions from our group

17.06.2016

ATLAS has just released new results in the search for stable R-hadrons. The paper titled "Search for heavy long-lived charged R-hadrons with the ATLAS detector in 3.2/fb of proton-proton collision data at sqrt(s)=13 TeV" was prepared with major contributions from our group, was put on the arXiv today and is submitted to Physics Letters B for publication.

Using data collected in 2015, the analysis was able to put yet more stringent limits on the cross section and masses of (still) hypothetical stable gluinos, as predicted e.g. by SplitSUSY models.
